Valley Fresh Carpet Cleaning (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates valleyfreshcarpets.com and provides carpet and floor-care services throughout the Fraser Valley, British Columbia. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you request a quote, contact us, or book a service through our website, we collect the details you submit — typically your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in, and your general location. If you phone or email us directly, we keep the information you choose to share so we can respond and provide the service.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we receive standard technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring site — through cookies and similar technologies used by the third-party services described below.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to quote requests and enquiries;
- To schedule, provide, and follow up on cleaning services;
- To send invoices, confirmations, and service-related communications;
- To understand how our website is used and improve it;
- To protect our website and forms from spam and abuse.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Bot Protection — Cloudflare Turnstile
Our website forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving alternative to CAPTCHA that helps us distinguish real visitors from automated bots. Turnstile may run invisibly in the background when you view or submit a form, without asking you to solve a puzzle. As part of this check, Cloudflare processes limited information about your browser, device, and network (for example, your IP address and browser characteristics). This information is used solely to determine whether the visitor is human, is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and is handled in accordance with the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum and the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate this website and our business:
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on our forms (see above);
- SMTP2GO — delivers form submissions to us by email;
- Netlify — hosts this website;
- Google — Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics help us understand site usage, and Google Maps powers the embedded maps on some pages;
- Housecall Pro — powers our online booking and customer reviews widgets.
Each provider receives only the information needed to perform its function and is governed by its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies if you would like more detail.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use them (through the services above) for site analytics and security. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some site features, such as form protection.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). Quote requests and correspondence that do not lead to a booking are deleted periodically.
Your Rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it (subject to legal or contractual restrictions). To make a request, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children’s Privacy
Our services and website are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was most recently revised. Continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
